Purpose: Lady of wisdom and justice
Mission Statement: "By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice" —Proverbs 8:15, New King James Version
Areas of Interest: Writing (Storytelling), Law, and Education
The Pen is my sword. War & Truth, my power and protection. For freedom, justice, and dignity for all.
Lady Prudence x Justice
First, I am a writer. Knowing there is no greater teacher than life itself, my specialty is to write true stories or stories based on a true story. Second, I help "kings" rule, "warriors" win, and "judges" administer justice. Third, I am a lifelong learner in the School of Life.
All the while, for greater insight into the inner workings of government and politics, I externed in the Office of the Attorney General at the California Department of Justice. I served under the Correctional Law section, defending the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Briefly, I also served under the Health Quality Enforcement section, examining the prosecution of medical doctors for medical malpractice.
In the past, interested in the workings of the media, culture, and private interests (i.e., corporations), I served the role of an analyst at a Bill Gates company and CBSi, a subdivision of CBS Corp. (now, ViacomCBS), in Hollywood, the storytelling capital. Also, starting out, I was a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest school district in the nation, and a charter school network.
For my formal education, I am studying law; while previously, I critically examined the higher education system. I was a Clarendon Scholar at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, reading for a doctorate. Prior to that, I earned two master's degrees; one with distinction from Oxford University and the other with high marks from the University of Southern California. For my undergraduate studies, I graduated in the top 10% with latin honors, and invitations from Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and still more.
Most notably, I acquired $0 in student debt continuously throughout my education, even acquiring capital along the way. In so doing, I secured for myself the rarified freedom to be selective about who, what, when, where, and why I spend my resources, time, and energy.
Every year, I travel to a different country; and so far, I visited countries throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Previously, I lived in England, Sweden, Taiwan, and South Korea. My favorite place on Earth is Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives, far removed from Vanity Affairs.
Fun fact: My name in middle-school French class was "Prudence" so as to give tribute to wisdom.
